High may be breaking, My 850 2.3 t5 auto which has a Superb engine. Can this engine be used in a Volvo V70 2.3 t5 1998 manual. (throttle cable) version as the car i've seen has done 188k.

Also does anyone know if my Ecu will work 850 auto - v70 manual?

Really apreciate any help on this.

Should be no reason why you can't as they are basically the same vehicle. I have a V70 engine in my 850 (well at least the bottom half !) and a C70 gearbox with modified clutch pipework to allow the use of a concentric slave. Not sure about the ecu though.

Engine - yes (you'll have to change the flywheel)
ECU - No :(

Noooooooo dont go V70 lol, 850's have a better stance from the front end in my opinion.
hold out for a good 850, good things come to those who wait! although its your daily drive.......could be a pain waiting. get another auto box for now just to get it back on the road, then do some thinking/planning. ill come over and give you a hand if you like mate?

Cheer's Stu, But my 1 of my auto lines is also bad, it really aint worth chucking another auto box in im afraid. :(

I think for i have planned a Manual is the way to go for me, 850 pref, But a P1 V70 t5 would be nearly as good.

Apreciate your looking tho bud, catch up soon
