To many miles on the clock..........

only joking.

Theres various torx screws in the upper dash under and behind vents across the entire dash. It takes around 10 minutes if that to remove the upper dash and clocks then another 20 minutes or so to remove the lower dash after the centre console has been removed.

In the how to section of this site there is a useful guide on how to remove the upper dash

To take out the whole dash is actually a pretty easy job on the 850's. There is a line of 10mm bolts under the wiper panel in the recess beneath, then there is a couple of screws inside the car down by the kick panels. You don't have to unplug the dash or switch gear jut locate all the coloured multi-plugs under the drivers dash area, unplug them and take the whole lot out !. You may need to take off the steering wheel and a few other odds and sods that I might have forgotten but it wasn't by ant means a hard job.
