Seat change

I was thinking of changing the front seats in my V70 for some Corbeau Targas. What are the issues with the various electronics in the original seats. Will the ecu complain that it can't find the side airbags etc?

im sure fitting wont be an issue with the correct rails etc...
but i think you will get an airbag warning light up on the dash as the system will do a self check everytime you start it up and realise there is a curcuit missing......i suppose you could fit a resistor in to the plug...of the right value to maybe trick the car into thinking all is well....
the light being on just meens the air bag may not deploy in the event of an accident..........
but thats not a bad thing cos if any airbag deploys in the car it will right it of cos the cost to replace would be too great......so not a bad thing really lol.
same thing with steering wheel change..put airbag light up on dash.......
il just remove the bulb next time im behind the dash lol.

Good point about the resistor Stealth. I should have thought of that being an electronics engineer :worried:
