Probably not mate as dont the speedos have a different top speed plus there are two types of p1 clocks and the me7 ones are very different to pre me7 feel free to prove me wrong though

I asked a similar question ages ago, about putting 160mph clock in place of my 150 one, I was told about that there is 2 different types of speedo pick-up, one type you have a sensor on the gearbox, this was probably up to '95, and when they changed the ABS system, the speedo was driven from that.

But, I have been told that you can connect the speed sensor on the gearbox type to the ABS wires on the N/S, I hope this is true, as my gearbox no longer has a speed ring inside it. I can't see why it shouldn't work, and it might help you too.

I haven't tested this idea, as my gearbox and engine are still out the car

Mines a P reg and has the 160 clocks already. :)
I might try some cheapies from the breakers first, As the V70R ones I had my eye on they want £135 for.

850 and P1 70 clocks are surely different shapes... the dashes are entirely different, no?
