V70R. Wanting in the next few months...

In the few few months I'm going to be on the look out for a V70R. :eclipsee_

Phase 1 car preferably in Laser Blue (the other half is not keen on Saffron) but I would consider Red or Black. What other colours did it come in?

Reasonable mileage, history, toys...the usual stuff.

The quest is about to begin. :)

Laser blue manual are as rare as hens teeth I do believe!

There is/was a V70T5 R lookalike for sale for £6250 IIRC a few days ago - very nice by all accounts, full R interior/exterior spec.

Possible I have missed them, but I've never seen a Manual laser blue example for sale, not to say they don't exist of course.

Oh and of course you have the AWD of FWD choice as well - always seem to be more AWD's around as far as I can tell!

I've just got the brochure for the latest R range, and am drooling over that :dunce:

However, a starting price of £38,000 puts me off a tad :troutslap

2nd hand ones start at about 25K, so in 2/3 years, should be reasonably priced....hopefully!

As Laser Blue 'R' is an aspiration (a manual one even more so I'm thinking) and the LPO (Leisure Prevention Officer) has vetoed Saffron so I might have to be less circumspect in my choice. :smirk: Red or Black would be cool too, I guess a Black with tints and retro fitted Pegasus alloys would look the biz, although the standard darkened alloys look pretty good and some TakSpeed R logos added a splash of needed colour. :B_thumb:

How ironic that the two on Autotrader are in Saffron? :slap:

And I though tracking down an M Coupe was tough!

Blue is my No1 choice, but Silver and Black are not far behind.

Black is meant to be a bugger to keep clean, so Silver with Anthracite alloys would look pretty pukka me thinks :-)

Note - if you specify 'v70 r' in your search field, it misses out a lot that are advertised like the one above, I find the only way to do it is to trawl through ALl the V70's and reduce the price by £1000 each time you get to a new band - if that makes sense....
