S60 windscreen delaminating

Since owning the car, this has got steadily worse. To the point now where it needs replacing ASAP. The windscreen is a police spec bullet proof jobby and is about 3/4" thick. Trouble is that the internal plastic sheet is slowly peeling away and distorting the view quite badly. Now, the wording on my insurance policy is that they will replace a cracked or broken screen. Technically, this is neither.

I hate the idea of having to drive behind an agregate lorry waiting for a stone to fall off......

Any ideas?

Maybe not such a good idea if the insurance company were not notified of it being bullet proof ect when taking out the policy?

Sorry, bulletproof? I just bout it of ebay mate, mentioned it was ex police though......
