After a weekend trip to a rolling road I managed to blow the bottom of my intercooler off on my 850 on the way home.

As you can imagine it made quite a bang about the same bang that occured from the trouser department....lol
Luckly I was only 5 miles from home and after a road side bodge managed to limp the car home where today I stripped it out ready for a replacement.

Im undecided what I want to do in terms of an uprated/aftermarket unit so until then I am on the hunt for a suitable good condition secondhand unit. I have heard that the 850R manual cooler is uprated? Can anyone confirm this at all? Im not really keen on buying from eBay so would prefer to buy from a forum member so while we are on the subject does anyone here have an intercooler for sale?

I have an inter-cooler that's come off the T5-R. It is undamaged after the accident and is in good condition.

You can have it for free, where abouts in the UK are you?

Yes mate, all custom made by my very own hands!

Andy if you are in Braintree I dont mind running the intercooler down to you. Only an hour or so down the road.

No problem Stu, its a doddle. A little bit of welding some 3" aluminium, jubilee clips and silicone and away you go!

Im planning on making one for my next car so will probably make 2 or 3 as many have shown an interest. Im not interested in making any money on them and will sell them at cost price.

I have PM'd Andy so should I be heading south ill pay you a visit. I think I have your number somewhere.

Not sure if it's a common thing or not, my car is mapped to run 1.35 bar of boost which it pretty much holds to red line so not excessive possibly a fault with the cooler from new which hasn't been a problem whilst it was running lower boost levels. Time will tell I guess...

i can't remember the size reducers you need so will need to measure your original pipes, but these should help

I have a list somewhere. It seems there is quite an interest in these. If your also interested I could make a batch of them. IIRC all in brand new all the parts come to around £120
