Hi.Just got some titans and want to repaint them.I think they have been already painted at some point. It looks like they are originally painted black all over (looks original volvo finish to me) then blown over with the anthrasite colour on the outside faces.I have access to blasting and powdercoating facilities and I can easily get them redone black (got black paint in stock!).I can then get the faces sprayed.
Question is:-Is this the correct finish i.e anthracite fading into black towards the rear of the rim and what is the anthracite paint code ?

If it was me I'd have them done Satin black. I think the original colour is pretty close to anthracite.

Mine (the red car) have been repainted silver-alloy colour (I prefer anthracite - but this is how they came from a refurbisher). You will see the middle picture I have Volans - these are in proper, original anthracite.
Jerry's Olive Shed (bottom) has anthracite Titans in original colour.

Don't go too fancy. Anthracite really does suit the classy executive look of the 850 - anything zany just looks naff.

As far as I can recall, Titans should be the same colour all over.

Mind you, I used to have a white Hillman Imp with yellow 4-spoke Revolutions - looked like a pair of flying fried eggs.

I think it is one of many shi'ite features on the Olive Shed when Jerry got the old b@gger - Jerry will no doubt contribute on this one!

I have no idea mate! A bad one who will no doubt meet a suitably sticky end for being such a knob ;)

They're not there now though :)

Plus the Titans are now satin blackish which was the only half decent colour I could find over here for a home refurb :( I'll get em done in 932 at some point, maybe...

Sighs...a never ending list of shi'ite features and things going wrong; I could probably have bought half a dozen T5s with the cash that's been ploughed into the Shed and built one decent one :D

If members want wheels fully powdercoated a company in Birmingham does a very good job at an unbeatable price. City powdercoating in Birmingham, Digbeth just outside the city centre near selfridges. £30 per wheel with tyres removed and refitted/balanced and £20 per wheel bare. They will do the same price for any of the colours they offer. I am not employed or have anything to do with the company but have had several wheels done personally by them and friends have had many wheels done by them also. The quality of the work is good and wheel repairs can also be carried out for an additional price. I had my Titans coloured in silver as I wanted a change from the anthracite and they look great. I'm not sure how much longer the offer is available so check yourself by calling them http://www.citypowdercoating.co.uk/about-us
