I'm looking to get one to tow my track car on a trailer.

What's the best value option?
I see ebay towbar kits with electrics can be had for about £80.
I've also had a drive in service quote locally for £200 all in.

What about used ones? Better to get a used good brand than a new random one?
Would quite like a removable one, but would prefer cheap if I'm honest!

Tempting to try the used options guys.... Are they Volvo OE versions? Or at least aftermarket but still swan neck style? All complete?

Don't want to have to source any huge oddball fittings if they're going to rocket the overall cost up

This is the one I bought for my 850 Estate a while back from this seller. Its manufactured by towtrust and was an extremely good towbar. It withstood towing an 850 T5R 80 miles on a trailer so must be quality. If thats not enough it has a lifetime warranty.

On the used front personally I would never touch one, however if rust free I cant see the problem.

If you need any help fitting it etc let me know will be more than happy to help.

Is that type not quite visible from the outside? ie the large horizontal bar?

The used one is tempting, may well be in touch about that.

Not sure entirely what you mean by that Ade.

Here is a picture though.

In the ebay pic the large horizontal bar that the towball bolts on to looks like it would be visible under the bumper.

I that just a generic picture on the ebay sale, or what it actually looks like?
