Well my car is running a Rica 304 with a 16T and white 350CC injectors and runs perfectly. I think it depends on how far you go. If you fit a 16T you will be ok with the current map but if you fit a 19T you really are not going to see the benfit properly without a custom map.

BT's got a 19t with no remap, but as Emelyn says it won't be running at her most effective

No problem, its just my take on the matter Im sure others will have a different opinion.

The way I would look at it though would be entirely on what you were aiming to achieve, assuming that you have a 15G at the moment so if its more grunt for not alot try a 16T. I picked mine up for £50 and with a manual boost controller made the car feel a whole different machine. With the 19T setup your looking at £250 for the turbo and you'll more than likely want to fit larger injectors and a custom map which will be another £400.

It came off an 850R that me and smithness helped someone to break.

You can also get them from the v70,16t is standard on them, and a 18/19t on the v70R

Be careful if you source one from a V70 as some have an angled flange output whereas the 850 stnadard downpipe has a straight flange connector. If you do find an angled one you will need a downpipe too.

Just split the turbo and make the correct one for your car, its one bolt on a clamp

' 16g or 19t ' A 16g over a 19t every time.

A 16t has a smaller compressor wheel than the 19t.

Having owned several motors with 16T , 2x 15g and 1x 19T custom I would say 19T all the way.
15G is the best round town as it boost early around 2k, 16T is more frugal than the 15g more grown up but not a lot happens until 2.4k rpm then its nice and progressive untill 5,5.5k. So a more linnear approach than the 15G not as aggresive but more driveable if that makes sense.
I went from Rica 310 P1 V70 16T running 230 WHP on HLM rollers & 266BHP Fly wheel elsewhere. With the 19T I saw my power grow to 280 WHP & 317 LBFT 322 BHP. On the road she was an animal 40-100 plus in 3rd was over in seconds (quicker than my XJR in gear)130 on the autobahn she would throw you back in the seat and get upto a real 155 plus mph in no time. Yet cruising at 70MPH back in the uk could result in 37.1 mpg! Oh yes when it was cold & damp I could light the tyres up at 75-85 mph. She went to a pilot in Scotland who had owned several T5s and Rs and he said it was by far the fastest yet and I have to say after a P2 V70 remaped and an 850R remaped there both no where near where my 19T was. Saying that upgrading isnt going to be cheap and the 16T makes a good all rounder the 19T is just in another league again its like comparing the performance of a 2.0 20v and a standard T5!
