I agree all that space would be perfect for some sort of cold air system. How about a feed from the air con?

As i think with my stomach i have an idea that would fit in the space youve made:

The Rottertron patented "Rottertron Roadkill Rotisseri", just choose youre roadkill then drive for the according cooking time for a perfect meal. Yum Yum!!!

Yeah I'm with the B.F.O. cold air box. A nice Blitz type stainless filter with stainless steal air box would look superb, and sound like Darth Vader.

Nice one mate - I never got round to it, as the cable I got was massive and too stiff to run through the cabin nicely.

What cable are you using ?

Cheers

i used 0 gauge car stereo cable (biggest size available), i 've got a small patch on the passenger door sill where the carpet doesn't sit into the plastic trim correctly but only needs a piece of double sided tape to hold it down.

it took me about 6 months to get around to doing my own mate (& i've got a house to build), its not a hard job & most car audio specialist will be able to do all the wiring if your not confident, just a case of mounting the battery then

pedro - looks good mate... not sure I'd want to try to reach my arm under the wheel, dodging battery and wires, to get at the fire extinguisher in a life or death situation mind you ;)

Also, 1/0awg (a.k.a "zero guage" or "1 over guage") isn't the largest cable you can get, 4/0AWG (a.k.a "4 over guage") is the largest commonly available, and makes 1/0AWG look like bell wire.

Cheers

Mark

Batterys insecurity doesnt come under any M.O.T criteria, but may do soon.

only question about the battery is that i thought they needed to be stood upright instead of on the side incase the acid leaked out, or do you use some sort of dry battery?

the spare wheel is only in there on long journeys (which i guess when a fire is most likely :slap: )

can i change that to largest commercially available then :)

That's odd  I'm sure my first car's MOT (old banger MkII Fiesta ( :o ) got failed cos of an insecure / corroded battery tray??!

You should have asked them "where in the book does it say that "..its my job as a M.O.T tester to know these things...and it dont say anything about battery security, but corrosion to the battery tray will fail because its a foot away from suspension components.
