Hi.
I have a T4, Will it be any good at towing a caravan??
Or would a swap for a T5 be better?
Cheers for any advice..

would have thought you'll be fine with a T4 ... plenty of torque - fairly robust engine.
That Said... the S40 is a bit smaller and lighter than some of the T5's.
Just don't get it chipped then spank it up the alps flat out on a red hot day :D

Power wise, it'll have no problem, and the engines are pretty strong when looked after.
But the s/v40's are fairly light cars and when it comes to stability, the heavier the better. So it depends on how heavy the caravan/trailer will be.
I think for stabilty the trailer should not exceed about 85% of the tow car
As the t4 weighs in around 1300kgs, that would mean a tow weight of around 1105kgs.
There should be plenty of info on the net about maximum weights, laws, etc.
