mp3 player and original head unit

I got my lovely sew 850 glt and I'm happy with the head unit, but it is only a cassette unit, is it possible to wire up a mp3/phone to it somehow or do i need to use the tape converter thing or an fm transmitter. How good are the heads its a 800 cs Premium Sound System .

There was a bloke converting the radio's to have a 3.5mm jack plug

go for the transmitter...i use on in my landy at work and its a much better looking bit of kit than the tape thingy.....just plug it in your cig lighter and mp3 in the transmitter tune it in and away you go.... simples.....
