Howdy all.

Ive had the lambda light come on over the last couple of days. Ive got two different code readers and neither seem to be able to access the codes. Is there anyone in the northants area that has access to a code reader that will work?

Cheers

you could try this LINK (http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=31187), 850's aren't fully OBDII compliant

Thanks Fandango,

Ive built that circuit, just need to get home and try it.

Does this give you some sort of blink code then on the LED? I must admit I cant actually see how it works.

If I get a blink code, is there a database of flashes V code?

Cheers again

Fairly easy to understand the flashes i.e Front o2 sensor missing or faulty is 212, so will be 'flash' 'flash' pause 'flash' pause 'flash' 'flash'

Right then..... thanks for the info guys. I have tried my homemade jobbie and it only worked :) I'm getting a code 121 faulty maf signal. I've reset the light for now and see if it ccomes back. Would you suggest sourcing a new one?

its definatly worth trying a known working MAF. try borrowing one from someone off here, i would lend you mine but theres a bit of distance between us lol

once youve tried a known working one and it works , get a genuine bosch one as its not worth going cheap on electrical parts! speaking from experience lol

bloody motor parts direct stuff made from recycled chewing gum haha

Cheers Stu

I am having some pretty major boost issues as well at the Mo so not sure idf this is a contributor to the issue??

Im pretty sure its the wastegate thats either wound out to the min such that i make about 2 PSI or its seized.

I just have not had the time to get under the bonnet and rip my knuckles off removing the heat shield...LOL.

Thanks for the advice on the MAF, I will definately pick up a pucker one if this one is definately shot.
