T35 Hybrid

A very nice man dropped this round to me this afternoon.:pimp2:

The spec,

T35 Garrett intake housing
Stage 4 cosworth wheel
360 degree thrust bearing
Nissan gtr pulsar exhaust housing machined to fit volvo downpipe
Cut back blades
-31 actuator

This is a one off hybrid designed by Turbo Technics for a v70 originally.

Tested to 2.2bar max 2.0bar constant.:hail:

Was fully rebuilt with new core in the spring this year so in excellent condition.

Just need an engine for it now lol.

Not really sure what it's going to push mate im not to bothered about getting max figures out of it i want it set up to be the best possible drive on the road and 1/4mile which is another problem, who custom map's it? i figure i have 3 choices, 1, atm map if the man from sweden comes over, 2, mte if Marco is ever in the country, 3, drive to rica in holland. Anyway around 375whp and 550nm should be the target area i think ish lol

12.9 would be nice.

Thats the best method! Finally someone who agree's with me that you need to keep a balance somewhere along the line.

Well if you opt for the Rica route I was planning a trip to Rica in February/March time as I want a custom map on mine when Im finished which by then hopefully I will be. Let me know mate, you can tag along with me and santa20.

the exhaust housing was designed to keep the torque figuire high mate but take it from me that turbo pushes alot of air and will produce some mighty power at 26 psi and above .i was only running 1.3 bar on my v70 and that was over 300 whp on a long range gearbox mate

You still have the advantage of your awd (when it works!). Which means you should still be much quicker off the line. Smithys should be the closest because of his rwd.

from what i have heard he could a lot lot quicker , mind a think that time was with a k24 and the car was set for track iirc , a think if yous beat the 12.9 yous might tempt him bacvk onto the strip

the escort came with a t34 or t35 what ever ya like to call it cam with either .48 .55 .63 which makes the most power , iirc the most av seen this turbo make on a cossie was over 400bhp

lol i took the old 240 estate but didnt run it as i didnt want to show every one up hopefully the track has improved this year as its got to be the best set out 1/4mile there is also when attending this year hopefully the weather is better and we can go the night before and get the bbq going with a few beers

That was a very very **** run, after turning the car back on I noticed the car defaulted back to grandad mode.....whilst trying to deal with that I missed the green light.....went anyway and by the end gave up....and yeah thought I crossed the finish line before I did......though I still won that race :-p

Think I got the biggest improvement of the day going from 15.1 (I thought it was 15.5) to 13.8 on the next run.

Yeah, that was about 12 hours after I got the car back for a new turbo and manifold. Nothing like running it in. (Though still had 3 dodgy wheel bearings and was without the new intercooler.)

There is another company in Holland that seems to be rated much higher than RICA (certainly on the Dutch 850 and turbo boards), so, it might be worth contacting them about a custom map. They get very good results Emlyn (and James).

can i ask why people are sticking to volvo specific tuners, i'm going to be using a dastek ecu, and getting it all mapped at my local tuner.

Still youd have the issue getting off the line but once moving the Nos could help quite a bit.

One thought - if there were enough people to genuine get Peter over from ATM in Sweden - then it is more likely, than just coming over for mine.
