As above. My 850 has the alarm on and my remote doesn't work due to a heavy spin cycle :( How do I turn the alarm off using the key only. I've disconnected the battery for now to see if that'll work but otherwise I'm stumped....

try unlocking the car with the key and starting the car i think that should disconnect the alarm cause the code from the key should turn it off, but could be wrong

unplug the alarm horn if it annoys you. its located just in front of the bulkhead in the engine bay in the middle. its a got a little clip plug on the back.

After you've done that, its a lot more pleasant messing around with the alarm going off...

I think you can get a new keyfob and program it to the car somehow... Don't know if you can do that when the alarm is going off though - there would be instructions about that somewhere on the forum

I found this it might be of some use. The chap who wrote it works for a Car Alarm specialist and said it is for the 850.

Normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
BLACK/YELLOW (-) AT THE HOOD PIN.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

Which pin/switch on the bonnet? The bonnet release catch? I'm clueless in case you hadn't noticed :jaw: lol A pic would be nice if possible :wiggle:

The left and right key turn didn't work :( Maybe new batteries will work? I await the postman with a heavy heart...

Hi buddy. Do you need a new fob? I managed to get 2 from a local scrappy with a bunch of other stuff. I hope they just need new batteries. Want me to send you one? Free!

Hey don't worry, they cost me pittance. I got a tone of stuff and they didn't even feature. So in the grand scheme of things, you need one more than me! I've just popped a battery in them and they seem to make the right noises. PM me your address and I'll pop one to you.

Thanks lads :D My car is now alive again :) Turning the key 5 times in 10secs didn't work but the alarm was armed so I'll try again once the alarm is reset (£10 incoming Woody ;) )

I had to pull the fuses in the end but it was just nice to hear her roar into life :D

Many thanks to all,
Danny.

Just seen the thread glad you have sorted it somewhat. The positive spin is your wife is very trusting as she doesnt check your pockets. Mine doesnt either.

Yep she's running again :D My t5 sat in a 3ft blanket of snow for nearly a week till the helpful chap above said which fuses to pull lol I wouldn't have had an idea :)

Thawed her out (car not wife) and took her for a spin :D T5's drive quite well in the snow eh? :)

Thanks again lads.
