Did your new turbo come with an actuator? May need adjusting or put the one from your old turbo on

You need to undo the split pin on the top of the actuator rod. Then pull it off and turn the end until you have a "half moon". On the end of the actuator rod near the seating pin is a swivel head, this is what you need to adjust, then seat it back onto the pin. The key is not to overtighten it.

I have tryed to explain with a paint diagram below

The seating pin....is that kinda spring loaded? The reason I ask is that I went to adjust my actuator ( see my thread about no boost) I could rotate it and it would stop where ever I left it. I seem to recall ( but dont quote me on this ) that it had a bit of tension on it so you had to hold it in place to put the actuator rod back on it along with the split pin...I dont know if any of this makes any sense but hopefully to some one it will cause I still have no boost just alot of whooshing noise at the mo...( new braided hoses are on order for the pipe work inbetween my mbc and turbo etc...
