My dumpvalve and blanking plate are forge motorsport, all fitted correctly.

However....... is it suppost to be really quiet, seems hardly worth it unless on full boost? without putting your foot right down and driving like I stole it, it sounds like a microscopic mouse sneezing under the hood!!! I do not have cone filter yet if that makes any difference!!!!

Any advice?

Cheers Phill

How far is your boost gauge going up? When I first fitted mine it was quiet, it got louder later, but it still has odd days

mine was the same at 10 psi it sounded ok but thats at full throttle anything lower was rubbish, mine is much better now as i have upped the boost therefore increasing the sound get an mbc and turn it up you can get them from £15

You may find that the spring in the valve is too strong. Forge do different springs of varying strength as a "tuning" kit. When I increased the boost on my old T4, I had to fit a stronger spring, to prevent boost leaking away early. You may have the opposite problem - too strong a spring for the boost as it is.

I take it you mean these, if so which colour?

Green - 6-8 PSI

Yellow - 10-12 PSI

Blue - 14-16 PSI

Red - 18-20 PSI

I take it standard is 9.6 psi????

Yes the standard spring in the forge ones are too strong but even if you put a weaker one in it still wont be loud like a lot of dv unless you get on full boost
