After the new wheels, the grill that had been shouting "borring" at me for a while now, had some of the left over paint last night.
What do you guys think?

Get the bumper and bump-strip trim buffed up and it will really work well. I think I have tried almost every grille there is - and guess what, I now have an original chrome one fitted. Funny old world really.

buffed up? asin black trim wax?
i did try to give them the once over with the heat gun last night but didnt work as well as i has on other cars, i was thinking of painting them, either the olive green, black or maybe a dark grey met?
im not sure what would look best, what do u guys think?

I did try some stuff called Forever Black - and it is extremely long lasting and effective (you can get it on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Forever-Black-Dye-Kit-Trim-and-Bumpers-must-have-/110591341799?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19bfc1f4e7 ) and goes a very long way. Although Wurth sell an even better product - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wurth-Plastic-Dye-Plast-PT-75ml-Car-Bumper-Trim-Black-/370291494408?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item563717ce08. This has the added benefit that it has a sister product that comes in grey http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wurth-Plastic-Rubber-Bumper-Dyer-Plast-PT-Grey-Dye-/400087270137?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d270f42f9 which is arguably the CORRECT colour for 850 trim.

You could in theory paint all the strips a la V70. Personally, I think it looks a bit gay ;)

looks like a good mod, but i need to keep it clean as anything i do i will wanna transfer to a T5 and propbably sell the TDi
figured if i want a quick TDi tho i should do what Claymore has, and put a T5 on a TDi badge lol
