every time i go from glasgow to blackpool if i cruise down around 80/90 mph my 850 t5 runs ok but if i slow down to around 50mph then floor it up to 90 mph again then back off speed again the car will missfire afew times and stutter for a few seconds then run ok again this has been happening for years now i have changed leads plugs and all that stuff also have hlm chip now but still the car will do as above any ideas

Have you got a Scamtec distributor cap or rotor arm? These are rubbish and can cause this.

could be a fuel issue injectors may need cleaning

Manifold gasket or vacumn pipe leak? This is always a plug issue on my T5s - but sounds like one of those amorphous irritations that has a simple fix.

thanks all rotor arm and cap leads plugs all bought from volvo main dealer thought that would cure the problem but not to be how do you clean the injectors
