ABS/Tracs ECU

Morning - yes I have the not so uncommon prob :croc: - Mas has soldered the damm thing twice and the 2nd time we thought he had cracked it and solved the prob as the lights stayed out for ages but now they are coming back on :-( The model number on my unit is 9162675 - my question is if I were to replace the unit with a 2nd hand one would I have to find one with the same number or are they interchangeable ?

A question for Wobbly Dave I think. Although my hunch is, I doubt it is interchangeable - always be something it won't link to. Have the codes been read? Could always be something else?

I have Googled the coding and they do seem to some up, so worth a call to some Volvo specialist breakers?

aslong as you get one with the same functions ie TRACs then i'm pretty certain you can use any. Early 850's have a different ABS system with a different pump & ECU which won't fit onto the later one's
