sorry not much help to you, but couldn't help but laugh at this bit

It really is faster than a 911 Carerra (we have one, so can prove it) and will give the Corsas, GTIs and Boxters bad dreams for months
yeh because C*rsa's are in the same league as Porsches & a real threat lol

Aye, the only way a Corsa could go as fast as a Porsche is if it fell off a cliff!!!!

Would that really beat a 911 Carrera on the 1/4 mile?

I'm not convinced...

106k... loads of electronics, 4C suspension, 4WD *cough*money-pit*cough*

only V70R timeslip I could find... 15.6 seconds @ 93mph....

yes standard, but a remap would never add 13mph and knock 2 seconds off a 1/4 ? :)

The 2006 Carrera is faster still: http://www.dragtimes.com/Porsche-911-Timeslip-11511.html

and the 2009... 1/4 in 12.5 http://www.dragtimes.com/Porsche-911-Timeslip-17796.html

At the last gti international show there was 2 basic 911 carrera's which were running and their best times were 13.6. Santa20 (S60R) best time is a 13.3@1/4mile.

must have had something cheeky to beat 2.3 seconds off a stock one :) still.. very good time so I guess they are that quick when modified.

15.6? Is that all they can do? Maybe they had a poor run?
Was that v70r a gaytronic, as they run less power (quite a bit less torque) than the manuals.

Sounds like that was a bad run in a stock car......they are very very difficult to launch......if you have the balls.....a good sense of humor.......and enough money to replace transmission bits....you can do a launch by starting off at 4000rpm+ and coming straight off the clutch.

Phase 2 R's are not well suited to 1/4 mile-ing. Circuit track work yes....drag racing no

You could be right there. Wasn't there another s60r at avon (the first time we met) and he was running in the 15's.

Yeah, if you try to progessively launch an S60R you will end up with a worse launch than no launch at all. (And lots of clutch smell with no movement).

Unless you do a "santa20" style launch....high 14's is probably the best youd get in a standard S60R

One of the things I'll have changed in my 2011 spec S60R lol

ah ... you got a sports cat and 3" downpipe too?

I've seen some videos of S60R's running that... they churn out about 355bhp not 330 in that state of tune!

Other details:

Front mounted intercooler which is quite a bit thicker than the standard unit
Elevate "Air Management System" lol
