Can someone help me out I'm ordering an external cooler for the transmission oil, following advice that the amount of BHP in my T-5 will kill the automatic transmission, so need to know what the thread pitch is on the box to get the correct pipe work with the cooler

It's been suggested that the thread is either 3/4BSP or 3/4UNF [not a clue] Can someone who's BSP/UNF minded check please

Thanks

You were poorly advised.

I left out the vital figures I'm planning 350-400bhp and according to the USA enthusiasts the autobox doesnt survive those figures.

Sorry for the confusion

I doubt even with the extra cooling that the box will be able to take those sort of figures. But keep us posted, as i have an auto and would be very interested to see how much power it can take. I'd heard 350ish is about the max.

With all due respect Charlotte, I'd be more concerned about how I was going to achieve those figures rather than whether the box could survive.
