My cruise control aint worked since i bought the car any idea how to fix?

when mine was faulty it turned out to be the clutch sensor - just a shot in the dark for ya

if you look at your pedal box and then look at the shaft of the clutch peddal you will notice there is a bracket with a sensor

Mine was brake pedal position sensor on the Master cylinder - £10 from scrappers, £100 from Volvo - sorted :)

what does it look like?

Depending on the year, it looks different. On mine, an ME7 it is a black cylinder with a plug on the end that sticks out from the brake master cylinder in the engine bay (to the front of the car) - but on pre ME7 it is connect diagnally from the cylinder, pointing down to the driver side wheel direction.

Be careful taking it off, that buggers got some suction and you could lose the rubber seal ring if you do it too quickly. Like i said, a tenner from the scrapper

Dont know if it applies to P1 but when I had the P2 it was also the clutch sensor and was infact leaking. If you look up near you clutch and you notice fluid its almost certainly the sensor.
