Manual Boost Controller

I am just about to replace the stock Pierburg TCV on my 2002 S60 T5 with an IPD and was wondering if was possible to also add a Manual Boost Controller to increase the boost by a few PSI, as I'm struggling to see how to connect it, I also believe that it may cause some problems to the ECU which monitors for over boosting which may then light up the dashboard.

Has anybody actually done this excercise and did it work ok

on an ME7 car (no throttle cable & blue badge on the grill) you won't be able to use a MBC without making the ECU cry & sulk

Yes it is an ME7 Engine and I had my doubts if I could fit one without the the ECU throwing a wobbly.
