Which manifold?

I've got my R all stripped down to a block in the car ready to do all the bearings in the week,when I had a good look at stuff after I noticed how restrictive the exhaust manifold looks with three seperate chambers joining into one.is there a better flowing manifild that goes straight on? Its a 96 R With a 16t,I'm sure the manifold could be better before I de-cat and fit a better exhaust?

yeh it fits all of them, mines a normal T-5 & fitted it when i had the 19t put on

they do come up for sale second hand occasionally. I paid about £300 for a new one from the main dealer

An exhaust manifold from a turbocharged ME7 car would also work, though possibly ever so slightly more restrictive than the R manifold but probably a little easier to get hold of second hand. The ME7 manifold still flows a lot better than the std one.

Thanks chaps,theres nothing wrong with my manifold i just thought that if they were readily availible i may as well swap them over while its all in bits.

You can also port the old one, don't really know if it makes any difference but I did it anyway
