Is the cylinder head and block from a 1998 v70 t5 the same as a 1998 v70 r fwd?

according to my list all the bore & stroke are the same, both used the same engine management so can't see why not. I would check there both either pre-ME7 or ME7 tho

just need to know if the flywheels were the same?
i have had to just buy a whole t5 engine just for the flywheel lol couldn't find one at short notice anywhere in the world

think they all use the same, but i'll check up the next time i fire Vadis up

i can't believe you had to buy a complete engine just to get a flywheel, i keep threatening to get one & drop it into the local engineering shop & let them lighten it

I know but a new one was £750 volvo part only and the engine cost me half that and by doing that i know have a good smoke free cylinder head that i'm going to use and will also have the block and a spare clutch for the future.

Yeah i saw that advert but the they wouldn't confirm if it fitted my vehicle and my car was a little smoky cos the valve stem seals needed replacing so instead of doing that i will just swap the heads over.
