I keep getting the ABS warning lights come on (V70 R AWD) but I'm convinced that the ABS is working correctly (so is my local, trusted, independent volvo specialist). I've had one sensor changed which cost me £200. Do I have to repeat that or is there something I'm missing?

Many thanks in advance
Trev

I should PM Wobbly Dave - it is almost invariably dry joints in the ABS unit. Not hugely expensive for a refurbished unit. My local independent was really keen for me to get one done by his provider (£125 all in) because they send him free gifts each time! You will find hundreds of posts on this topic on the forum. Advise avoiding BBS Remanufacturing.
And dry joints throw up all sorts of odd and sadly erroneous fault codes - like the time I had my rear sensors changed for £300 and the problem was actually the unit despite the code reading rear nearside sensor :(

Yes as I said in my PM - you can also check your reluctor ring for dirt, splits or damage.

So Phil - how did you get on with BBS Reman? And why is it to be avoided?

Check out their Ebay feedback for starters. A chum in the trade has been somewhat less than impressed too. For myself though Dave, I would only ever trust you :)
