s40 missfire and cutting out

the car has an intermitent miss know it keeps going on to 3 cylinders,its the gdi 1.8 engine,i lived with the miss now after 15 mins of driving it just cuts out and wont restart for hr or so and ive notice its taking a bit to start up of a morn,thanks for any advice dave.

i would get it plugged in to a diagnostic scanner. is the mil light on?.

fuel pump mate a had the same problem and changed the fuel pump sorted it right away
