Get a 2.0 Turbo from a 440 or 480 and drop that in, scrap the 1.4!

Seeing how the R5 Gt lump is basically the same engine I wouldn't have thought it would be much of a problem to fit, you will certainly have more room then in the R5 but (I've been toying with this idea myself as I have a Renault 4 van that I'm modding) the performance may be a little dissapointing as the 340 is a weighty old bus and the R5 Gt lump has it's limitations. You could turbocharge or even super charge the lump you have now as long as you keep the boost down, most stock engines will take low boost without modifications.

I agree.
When looking for mods try asking for renault 5 or 11 turbo mods the guys might be more helpful. There are lots of GT 5 turbo sites.....

FoggyJames on T5D5 or volvoforums is probably worth speaking to, there is also a 300 specialist forum
