i noticed quite a loud whirring noise when i got to my work this morning and no power so i was dreading home time as i have to cross the forth road bridge.anyway it wouldnt go over 40mph and the noise was getting worse then there was clouds of smoke out the back and its died and the oil lights on.any ideas?is it the turbo?

been told it is the turbo.so anyone want a 2001 s40 with a knackerd turbo?going cheap cos i cant be bothered with it anymore..its black and the sporty 115bhp one..

1. It was an estate (Looking back at my question I should have seen it was an S40 not a V40, Sorry)
