ok bad news for me clutch has started to slip how hard is it to change myself and whats involved in doing one on an r plate s70 t5 it looks like i got to drop the subframe i am a machcanic have an onc in it
money is very tight right now witch does not help and does it have that stupid hydrollic thrust bearing??

Yes Pike it does have that hydraulic bearing,

Had mine done recently.
The hardest part apparently was dropping the subframe as the bolts were not for budging. Apparently though once that was done it was pretty straight forwards....

I've got a clutch part no, 271956 its for a B5234T5 engine which some ppl on here told me was one of the R engines,

If it is right clutch for you car make me an offer and its yours

Make sure you do the main rear oil seal while you are at it , it will only take about another 20mins once the gearbox is out and it costs around £15.

you also dont need to pull the steering wheel out and up like the haynes manual says!Its a fairly easy job,have fun.
