850 shocks

Hi all, after 237,000 miles my Nreg 850 has to have a new pair of shock's on the rear, to my dismay i find it's fitted with "Self leveling" shock's and not Standard, as these are about 10 times the price of Standard, i'm wondering can i change over to the standard.

Yes mate, they can, you will need non self leveling top mounts, which aren't all that dear from the dealers. Then its a straight swap.

But you will need new rear springs too as the Nivos do some of the 'springing' so the springs are much softer - put a standard shock on and leave the original spring you will be all over the shop! I would get some s/h ones off Nads or similar - Nivos are pricy but work well.
