Hi Guys and Gals,
Not been on for a while , but have a burning question.....does anyone have or know the service procedure for replacing an AW55/50 SN Geartronic valve block. Having this info may save me a hell of a lot of time (pmsl)

p.s has anyone sold an white R reg phase 1 V70 T5 recently as it is residing nose to nose with mine (my neighbour appears to have bought it!) the vpcu stickers kinda gave me that idea lol.

Valve block replacement is caried out as follows:

Take car to Specialist/Independent. Ask for valve block replacement. Assume the position. Grab your ankles. Do NOT clench - it just hurts more!

Best of luck.

AFAIK software has to be sourced from Volvo thru' the VIDA system.

Good independents also subscribe to Vida but they rely on dealers to authorise the download and initiate it. I don't think you can order it except via dealer or indie.

I remember from when there was a recall out for Geartronic boxes (04/5/6) that there was a technical bulletin giving procedures. Rufe may be able to get you a copy . . .

Talk to Rob Kinsella @ Trevor Burgess in Hyde, Cheshire (Top of the M67).
