Quick question for you guys... sure someone will know the answer.

Would a V70 bumper for the 2004-2007 version fit the 2000-2004 version?

I'm sure that the bolts should match up as they're very similar.

Basically I've had a paint issue with my front bumper since I've had the car & I'm looking at either new paint or a new bumper. The prices are close enough that it won't matter which.

Any thoughts? I like the idea of a newer one as there are splitter options available! Also it will freshen the look of the car.

Cheers in advance!

Hey Badge'
I don't actually know for sure but the two bumpers are the same so one would think they would. I mean, no aspect of the front of the car has changed.

Are they easy to take off? I have a paint issue too and was thinking about replacing rather than painting. They come painted from the dealer.

I bet it’s not cheap when you factor in two new rubbing strips and a grille, along with different fog lamps etc.

Careful, Badger. It could cost you a few bob!

Did the math, it's £250 including a fancy looking splitter....

The bumper comes with the bumper strips.

I may need to buy a new grill to fit it.

Paint for the splitter & a grill will add about £60 to the bill. May still be cheaper to get it painted though!

Loads - provided you find the right bodyshop.

or

Why not see if you can find one of the mobile guys who paint the thing in situ, invariably cheaper than a bodyshop!
