Had a quiet day today so I started on a V70R front splitter with the little bit of resin I had left. Hopefully have it ready for moulding at the weekend. New drum of resin coming any day now so I can get on with the other projects I have waiting.

Ok, I now have pics, however you'll have to excuse them because it's not painted and it's being tested on a crapy bumper I have lying around in the garage, the ones I'll be selling will of course be painted black, this one is just in primer.

850 splitter fitted to a V70R bumper.

As you can see the fit over the original 850 one is a lot better, it now follows the front edge of the bumpers..

Hopefully I'll have the mould done this week (if I can spare the time after work), failing that it'll be done this weekend as the original is now nigh on ready.

Oh and please excuse the complete tip that the garage is at the moment, I've just not had any spare time to clean up recently.

Haven't the foggiest, I don't know what the curve on the bottom of a C70 is like compared to either an 850 or a V70.

Took a good long while to chop it about to get the fit right, I had a couple of complaints about the fit on the old ones, shouldnt have any problems at all with these.

Not good bud, it's a pain in the arse to get right, I can make it structural just not pretty. Without all the vacuum bagging gear you'll never get it right.

Thanks mate, just on the bike forums everyone wants CF parts and the cost of them is mind blowing plus there is a huge amount of people that will pay for them.

Craig, What's the price for the new version of the splitter as I have a V70R bumper for my car and was thinking of fitting the old splitter I have to it but the newer one looks better. As for CF look at Hydro transfer printing it, it will look like CF assuming you can find somewhere with a large enough tank - Mike

It is a very expensive procees Mike,i was quoted £200 per wheel to have it done.i could get a secondhand CF wheel for £500..why have something that is fake and still weighs the same..

Think you need to shop around mate, that's a ridiculous price, cost of materials to do 4 wheels would only be about £50 I recon. you could do a splitter yourself in your bath for about a tenner.

I no a company that does it around 60 a wheel....

Just make sure the wife has gone out before you try this, for some reason the female version of the human don't appreciate car parts in the dishwasher or bath - Mike
