I have a 1998 V70 which has recently started leaking in water when it rains from the passenger side roof. The water isn't coming in from the door seal but from the trim inside the car near where the door closes. The car has roof bars and I am wondering if this could be the point of entry? Any advice or suggestions would be most welcome. In addition, the leak seems worse when the car has been parked facing uphill rather than downhill!

check the rain drain holes to see if blocked

At the risk of sounding dense, whereabouts are they?

When I had the roof on my Phase 1 V70 re-spreayed, they didn't re-seal the holes which are there for the roof rails (my car didn't have any) and I had water p1ssing in, down my drivers door and into the boot. I only found out the source after much investigation and stripping the plastic covers out to investigate, only to find they broke half of the clips too!

Could it be that one of your mounting bolts needs torquing up?
