urgent help needed gearbox

does anyone know if their is a major difference between the 8650 t5 and t5r manual gearbox ?

my car is in bits and iv just found out iv been been supplied the wrong gearbox and all i can get hold of is a t5r 1

I think there the same,it was the 850R that had lsd in its box.

yep the T-5 & T-5R both use the M56H while the 850R has the M59. They did move the speed sensor from the gearbox on early ones, to it getting the signal from the ABS on the later ones so make sure you get the same type of gearbox

You can use the m56 box if you need to but you will need the drive shafts to match, the m59 ones are thicker.
Good luck mate the m59 box's are very rare but worth trying salvo, nads, readview etc.

So which box do you actually need? M56 later or earlier?

its the M56 he's after & already got fitted mate, he's got a T-5R not an 850R

Salvo group in ilkeston had 1 on the shelf so im going on a road trip tomorrow lol

yeah i found them on ebay after afew calls we had it all sorted and i picked it this morning really helpful and friendly guys up their it was definately worth the 260 mile round trip :) and ill be using them again
