97 850 T-5 using more fuel been suggested O2 sensor fault no codes

My 97 850 T-5 has began to use a lot of fuel although its not returning any codes its been suggested the O2 sensor could have started to fail

How easy is it to replace the O2 sensor and how can I be sure its the O2 sensor
