Sticky front headlight wiper

One of My headllight wiper blades keeps stopping in near vertical position when I stop car and then resets itself when car starts up again to the bottom, although its now also stopping in middle of light.

Is the motor kaput?

Nearside or Offside?

Mines the same, the motors knackered, so Ive disconnected the loom behind the nearside bulb. The nearside one is slightly easier to replace in that you only have to remove the headlight and radiator mount (!), the offside one you have to remove the headlight, washer resevoir and I think even ECU box to get to the motor.

About £114 from Volvo. Scrappys should have some, but be careful with front end damaged cars as sometimes the wiper spindle gets pushed back into the motor housing rendering it crap.
