Hi chaps
I had a very strange experience with the S60 last night
After a short trip down the shops and back i happened to go back outside
the car had been parked for about 20mins with all doors locked
i noticed a noise and after investigating found that the aircon was still blowing in the car

I cant imagine this is normal and i didnt notice it on when i originally got out of the car

Any thoughts????????????

cheers

i have read about others doing that, but can't think why it was

I think it's designed to dry out condensation within the air-con system that would otherwise form pools of water within the ducts and encourage the growth of bacteria.............something like that anyway!!

Cheers,
John.

I too have read about this and I am not entirely sure why it does this, but I may have an answer?

Did you have the air con on when you switched the engine off when you got home as you are not supposed to do this. Turn your Air Con off a mile or so before you turn your engine off otherwise it will get ront in the condenser.

I have just come across this link that was posted on VOC: http://www.airconditioningforcars.co.uk/ACpage01.htm
