Hello all,hope ur all ok yea,what it is ok is that i bought a R reg V70R AWD manual,Saffron colour,from a mate of mine,engine is no good and so is the gear box but the body and interior very clean.
I ideally wanted an auto v70 so my better half could drive it as well so i'm wondering if it could be converted to an auto.Also do i have to get back a v70r engine or can a t5 engine and auto box be fitted.Would wiring loom and brain have to be changed as well?I thank you in advance.

yes auto ECU is different to a manual as it has to communicate with the gearbox as well which the manual doesn't. Auto does have a different loom & more wires than a manual for the PNP switch. I've seen auto to manual done but never the other way around tbh

I think the engines are the same in the T5 as the R. Just a different ecu?? Although the manual R has a bigger turbo than a T5. Someine will correct me if I'm wrong :)
