Guys is it possible to re map the 1998 T5 or would have to be chipped. My one is auto and I want the extra power and torque but would like some other opinions also filter change or any other ideas.

I have never modified anything before but did re map a 2006 A6 avant 3.0 turbo diesel. It went from 225 bhp up to 260 bhp, however the torque went from 406nm up to 518nm. It was very rapid for a diesel and used to piss a lot of people off.

Thanks,it handles pritty well but think in needs to go abit lower on the front end no body roll at all, power i dont know i should have her on the rollers next week.
Shes running around 15/16psi at the moment and torque steer's in 2nd gear lol,im looking for a genuine 300bhp.
Something you cant get from a map alone as i found out when i joined the forum, unless you have a volvo with a bigger turbo on as standard.

I'm hoping to get mine up to about 280 - 285 bhp, When I checked the link for the tuning I noticed that the S60 2.0t can get up to 225bhp, I have 1 of these on a 51 plate, so I think I,ll do it as well. The difference in the torque on both is excellent. Thanks for the advice and liked the pics. I have to say the voodoos in black would look good on my T5 as it is black also. With a black grill it would add a bit of Stealth to the look.

Hi guys the info is appreciated. Confirmed today with garage in Dundee that he can remap the S60, but the V70 will have to have the chip replaced.

Jaseb the car did come from Torrence and I think the guy worked for Barr. I picked it up on Saturday. It seems fine, a bit of a crashy change in sports mode at high revs, but will replace transmission fluid this weekend. Do you know anything about the car? (just curious)

Don't know yet he said he would probably have to send it away 2 day turnaround. I think he was getting another chip and trading in the old. He said £3-400 for re map of the S60.

HLM can do one for £150 and send you a ecu or you send them yours, theres no need to open the ecu up anymore.

I had noticed the car several times, at the barr's factoy and admired it , pass there daily .

I work often in Dundee too, (Invergowrie) I'll keep my eye out for it

Hope it turns out to be a good one for you

Cheers

you'll need an ECU from an auto to work in yours, a manual can use either but a manual ECU doesn't have the programming to run an auto box

ME7's can be remapped thru the OBD, pre-ME7's have a new chip soldered in
