Bought a set of Leather seats off t5pete yesterday. Have fitted the front ones and made the electric work but after spending half an hour trying, cannot get the backs of the rear seat out of the car. Please can anyone offer the solution? I am sure it must be straightforward but 3 of us here cannot get the bloody things out!

The car is a 1998 V70.

If it's the same as the 850 then the base of the seat should just be clipped in, give it a good shove backwards at one end and then lift up, then do the same for the other end and the bottom should just pull out. The top part is held in by bolts,if you pull the top of the seat down as far as you can under the head rest you see the bolts holding the head rest on (there's two), remove them and the bracket for both, there is also two more bolts arouind the middle of the seat behind the centre arm rest. Once they're removed look at the base of the seat and bend the two tabs up that are holding the bottom edge in place, the seat should now lift out.

Hope that helps...

Hello where the rear seats have the mounting point at either side you will see that there is a clip through it what you need to do it get two screw drivers one to push it in at the bottom of the bracket and then one at the top to leaver the clip up.
Once the clips are up pull the seat towards you and lift up which will release the bracket, do this to both sides and the the two seats will be joined together att he middle, you will have to wiggle one of the seats and there pushed in together.
Once done fitting is the reversal and alot easier.
If you need any more help give me a ring and ill giude you through it.
Cheers pete

Cheers for the responses Tomcat & Pete. We had got the clips out but could not get the seats to budge. In the ends prior to reading your replies a bit of "brute force and ignorance" and we got the seats out. All fitted and look good (even though the interior is beige).
