Speaker size

What size are the speakers in the front an rear doors of my T5?

How do you access them in a way that I can pull them out?

front and back doors are both 13cm or 5 1/4 inch for the old school lot

to get the grills off on the front, just prise the top corners with a screwdriver or similar and for the back door, pull the bottom of the grill, they will just pop off. They also clip back on.

To get the speakers out, you need a torx driver or a mid size flathead normally does the trick

Was worried that the door cards may have to come off They dont look like the friendliest door cards to get off. lol

I've got a competition system in my golf and the quality is great, just want a bit more quality really :D Quite impressed with the OE sysem I must say though...

the standard stuff is alpine i think, still ok though, a bit gutless sometimes

i have a set of Focal Utopias sitting in the garage with crossovers, just never had the chance to buy an amp and get them fitted, might be a job for the weekend!

I replaced my speakers with the premium upgrade kit from Volvo, added a couple of amps and a sub.

The premium speakers, whilst not being cheap - are good..
