Need some help please....my block has been bored out to an extra 0.5mil, volvo only do oversize piston to 0.4 so im in the ££££, is the 2.4 block the same as my 2.3 b5234t block? and could it be bored out to fit 2.4 pistons? very new area to me so all help is greatly appreciated.

AFAIK the 2.5 has a bigger bore, thats why they have the problem with the cylinder liner cracking because the wall is thinner between the cylinders.

Found some data, 2.5 engine has a cylinder diameter of 83mm and a 90mm stroke. The 2.3 has an 81mm bore and the same stroke.
