another idle issue and a question

Hi guys, i have a c70 t5 with the usual idle issues. the cars done over 200k miles so things are going to have started going wrong.

ive changed some vac pipes, bcv etc not got round to cleaning the ETM yet as ive just discovered this

look half way down the page and you'll find an idle control valve


Now feel free to call me a muppet but i thought the ETM governs idle on these cars.

See i never understood how it all works thats why mine always goes to a garage im sure someone will be along shortly to inform you though
