on late 96 850 T-5's what size is the hole for the auxillary belt tensioner ? Manuals says it should be 1/2 inch this is far larger 3/4 at least

No idea, tbh what I've always done is measured across the corners of the hole and then cut a thick sheet of metal to that length, you can then just use a pair of self grips to move the tensioner.

i found an old 3/4 extension and cut the end of then used a spanner on that when it is in the auxilary belt tensioner.hth

Got a length of bar from B&Q fitted did the job far wider than 3/8 or 1/2 more like 3/4 job done though thanks
