Could anyone give me the procedure to remove defunct alternator from my 2001 S60 Non Turbo model volvo! I am stuck in the middle of nowhere and have no way of taking it to a mechanic! Though I am mechanical minded any help of nut and bolt locations to alternator and belt tensioner and what has to be removed to get it out would be of great help! Diagrams would be an enormous help as well!
Steve! stuck in the scrub somewhere in OZ!

Oh! Well! Can't even get my hands in between the power steer and alternator or even find the belt tenshioner and looks like you have to remove that much to remove the alternator that I have given up! 4 litres of unleaded and a box of matches will fix it! Unless some one Knows a link or site that has procedure of Removal and replacement :)
