Had my friends BM for a month to work on, hers the result. The paint was really bad the exhaust were pitted as you can see they do look a bit better though. The alloys were beyond cleaning they needed refurbed so he is getting that done what do you think I was hoping for some sun for the end pictures but it never happend

nice effort - what pads/polish did you use? What LSPs?

Typical menzerna pad and polish combo same as the Volvo and decided to go for this kit blackfire (http://polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/blackfire-wet-ice-over-fire-kit-cat1.html) very easy stuff to use love it, not sure on the wax yet I need to try it on my own car.

Looks great and a fantastic finish there - lots of hard work obviously been put into it.

I've always thought BMW paint looks a bit 'orange peely' even on the newer models, anyone else noticed this?

I've seen it on a few Beemers - especially a couple of E36's - their paint is noticably less smooth than other equiv cars.

Still ur detailing job is awesome :)

Lovely job there, BUT, by the looks of what it USED to look like, I think all
your hard work will be in vein. Id NEVER let my car get in that state, and someone who does obviously isnt to worried about keeping their car clean.

At least it'll keep you busy every few weeks ;)

I don't think that is true. The paint correction is permanent - so as long as the wash technique going forward is good - it always look better & it will be much easier to clean.

He just bought the car and that’s how he picked it up, I could never sell a car like that. He just spent £100 on washing products today so he can try and maintain it.

Is that all!! I can spend that much on detailing gear in a heartbeat. LOL - no wonder I have no money.

What did you use on the tail pipe?

Yeah I know I spent £400 last month on stuff
I used selant (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/blackfire-all-metal-sealant-cat20.html)
light polish (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/briliant-aluminium-and-stainless-steel-polish-cat20.html)

If you fancy, you can have a go at my yellow T4!!!!

A little battle weary at 190k and it had a front end bump before I got it that hasn't been brilliantly fixed, but it's whole!

Looks brilliant, wish I could be arsed to spend that much time (and money) cleaning. I use star drops sink shine on my tailpipes.
